Mike and Sara didn't plan on falling in love.
Mike was determined to change his image from Mr. Nice Guy to dangerous
and exciting male on the prowl. He had narrowly missed marrying the wrong woman.
(She eloped with her boss before he arrived home from a contract job in Africa).
Disillusioned by her broken promise and angry with women in general, Mike plans to find a
fun loving woman to share his honeymoon stateroom.
Sara has never been in love but she
does want a family. She plans to spend the cruise considering a marriage proposal from
Stephen Cafik, a wealthy electronics engineer whose political career her father, a retired
state senator, is encouraging. And someone on the cruise plans to kill Sara.
But under the
romantic tropical moon, the best laid plans...

Read a short
excerpt...
“I’ve never danced with anyone like
you, love,” Mike whispered, his voice dark and husky. “You move like a
flame at my fingertips.”
He turned her around to face him and
pulled her hips deliberately against him. “This is how we should have
ended that tango.”
His mouth was hard and hot on hers.
Then, as he drove his tongue deep into her mouth, he bent her back over
the railing for a long moment in the classic dip of the tango. She clung
to his shoulders, while smoldering need for him flared through her body.
When they straightened, his hands caressed her bare back and shoulders,
then the silk that covered the curves of her hips. As he pressed her
urgently against his heat, his lips moved hungrily over hers. Sara heard
herself moan softly into his mouth.
“The next steps of this tango demand
more privacy.”
His breathing was erratic and she
could feel the urgency of his arousal through the silk of her dress. His
eyes, dark as the midnight ocean, questioned.
“Sara?”
His kiss had robbed her of her
defenses. He was a powerful magnet that called to every tingling cell in
her body. She could only nod her assent…
What people are
saying about CHANGE OF PLANS...
Tantalizing! Highly recommended
This cruise should have been Mike Garison's honeymoon, but the bride eloped with
her boss. Months of celibacy and a crushed ego lead to his plan for wild, no strings
attached fun. Then he sees Sara at the airport, and tackles a would-be thief of her
briefcase. Quite an introduction for two strangers!
Sara Tolberg takes the cruise hoping to resolve her feelings for Stephen, a man who's
perfect marriage material, but whom she doesn't love. Since her senator father's forced
retirement, Stephen and his fledgling political career have become very important to her
father. Her plan for a quiet two weeks in paradise immediately derails when her wild
attraction for Mike threatens to rage out of control.
As stolen briefcases, suspicious phone calls, and suspected room searches give way to
verbal threats, Sara's plans for a quite cruise change to include hot romance and danger.
Indeed, the plans the threatening voice seeks will change the course of all the characters
concerned.
Sensual romance meets danger and intrigue in Dee Lloyd's CHANGE OF PLANS. The heat of the
Caribbean seeps into every page, emphasizing this suspenseful novel's passionate,
treacherous edge. Indeed, tantalizing love scenes intersperse suspicious characters and
surprise revelations, thereby keeping the pages turning! Highly recommended.

THIS ONE IS A PAGE TURNER
Sara Tolberg's Caribbean cruise has a
twofold purpose: she's scouting out an itinerary for her father's travel agency and she's
making up her mind whether she should give in and marry entrepreneur Stephen Cafik. Small
wonder, then, that she's shocked to find she's attracted to the big, tanned man who
rescued her briefcase from a thief at the airport and turns out to be a fellow passenger
on the cruise ship.
Mike Garson is on his honeymoon--alone. His
goal is to change that situation, and the tall, cool blond is a very likely candidate.
What he doesn't count on is the chemistry that strikes flares the first time he kisses
her, nor the discovery that she's the object of the attentions of some very nasty
characters. Before long, Mike and Sara are not only struggling to decide whether to give
in to the irresistible attraction they have for each other but also for their very lives.
Dee Lloyd's EPPIE-winning novel of
romance and suspense is a thrilling trip through tropical nights and sunlit days to ports
of call that come alive through her skillful descriptions. Not just the sights but the
sounds and smells and tastes surround the reader, so that the pleasure of reading becomes
the pleasure of experiencing. Into this riot of color and sensation she places two
delightfully human people who cautiously surrender to feelings they had never really
planned to enjoy. Sara and
Mike are intelligent, courageous, caring characters certain to remind the
reader of someone they know--or would very much like to know.
Add a conspiracy to peddle plans for
state-of-the-art electronic equipment, a group of villains whose occasional ineptitude
doesn't temper the danger they pose to Sara and, by extension, Mike, and you have a tale
of love and suspicion and jeopardy that moves so quickly the reader doesn't dare put the
book aside for even a moment.
Change of Plans deserves to be read more
than once, and probably will be by those lucky enough to have a copy.

Mike Garson paid for a honeymoon
cruise and hes going to enjoy it even if his bride did skip out on him. As he stands
in the airport girl-watching, he notices a beautiful blonde being kissed by a guy he
nicknames graysuit. The blonde glances at her watch in the middle of the kiss
and catches Mike watching her. The next thing Mike sees is a man briskly walking by the
couple and grabbing the womans briefcase. Mike gives chase and tackles the man. This
sets a chain of events in motion, that ultimately lead to Mike and Sara Tolberg getting
involved in an investigation of Saras almost-fiancé and his so-called business.
Sara has no way of knowing how corrupt Stephen Cafik is and how far he will go to assure
that his plans will be carried out.
I felt as if I were on a roller coaster ride through this book. I stayed on
the edge of my seat, nibbling my nails until I finished.

CHANGE OF PLANS, by Dee Lloyd, is an
intensely romantic, wonderfully
Mysterious story set within the
beautiful scenery of the Caribbean. When Sara Tolberg decides to spend two weeks aboard a
cruise ship bound for the Caribbean, thinking over her future, she doesn't realize that
her future is about to change.
A teddy bear with crooked eyes, a set
of twins, and the sensual attentions of a handsome man thrust Sara into a situation almost
beyond her control. Mike Garson only wants a shipboard romance, something to take his mind
off the fact that he is on his honeymoon cruise without his bride. What he gets is a
mystery, a beautiful blond woman, and danger. Protecting Sara becomes his only
purpose.
A mystery in need of solving, a woman
in need of protecting, and a man in need of loving: the perfect recipe for a good romantic
mystery. And with CHANGE OF PLANS, Dee Lloyd mixes all the right ingredients into a
good one.

CHANGE OF PLANS is a very good story
filled with romance, suspense, and intrigue. Mike and Sara are the kind of
characters that keep things interesting. The secondary characters, the nasty ones,
and the ones that are secret agents, never overpower the story. I loved this story
and thought the way it ended was exciting.
